We’re excited to announce that Michezo Sports has raised ~$2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round, led by Centre Court Capital, a venture capital fund focused on sports and gaming, with participation from Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha.
This investment marks a significant milestone for both Michezo and the broader Indian sports infrastructure ecosystem. It represents one of the first major venture capital investments in this largely unorganised sector signaling growing investor confidence in India’s aspiration to build world-class sports facilities and host global events such as the 2036 Olympics.
Since our inception in August 2019, Michezo has worked with over 175 customers across 350 projects nationwide, building infrastructure that meets international federation standards including FIFA, FIH, ITF, and World Athletics.
Our work spans athletic tracks, football and hockey pitches, badminton, squash, basketball and volleyball courts, as well as padel and pickleball arenas across sports complexes, clubs, schools, universities, and real estate projects.
This funding will enable us to expand into new verticals including swimming pools, civil and public sports infrastructure, and distribution platforms for sports materials while strengthening our commitment to quality, accessibility, and player-centric design.
“As a former professional tennis player, I experienced firsthand how access to good infrastructure can transform an athlete’s journey - and the frustration when it’s not available. The industry has long remained informal and fragmented. Michezo was founded to change that, by bringing professionalism, governance, and player-centric thinking to a sector that’s vital to India’s sporting future.”
— Maharishi Sridhar, Founder, Michezo Sports
“India’s sports infrastructure sector is entering a pivotal growth phase - we’re seeing rising participation, public and private investment, and strong national ambitions. Michezo is building not just facilities, but a blueprint for the next decade of Indian sport.”
— Mustafa Ghouse, Founding General Partner, Centre Court Capital

“Sports is key to building a healthier India. To make that happen, infrastructure needs to be available and accessible to all. Michezo is helping build that backbone.”
— Nithin Kamath, Founder & CEO, Rainmatter

We’re deeply grateful to our investors, partners, and team for believing in our mission to make world-class sports infrastructure accessible across India.
