The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) and Michezo Sports Infrastructure Private Limited (Michezo) are proud to announce an exclusive partnership aimed at revolutionizing the sports landscape in India through the large-scale development of pickleball courts nationwide.
This landmark collaboration brings together AIPA, India’s premier governing body for pickleball, and Michezo, one of the country’s most trusted names in sports infrastructure development. The partnership is focused on making significant progress towards AIPA’s vision of building 5,000 world-class pickleball courts across Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities over the next two years, making the sport more accessible to communities and nurturing future talent.
AIPA, under the leadership of Shri Arvind Prabhoo, has been instrumental in growing the sport from its roots in 2008 to a thriving community of over 100,000 players today. With the recently concluded World Pickleball League (WPBL) being a resounding success in January 2025, featuring celebrity franchise owners, the sport has taken a massive leap in popularity.
Michezo brings deep expertise and a strong track record to the partnership, having successfully completed over 100 pickleball courts across India. One standout project includes the construction of an international-standard pickleball court at the iconic CCI-Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai for the World Pickleball League (WPBL), which was completed in just 72 hours. This rapid yet precise execution showcased Michezo’s unmatched capability in delivering high-performance courts under tight timelines. Built with top-tier materials and in full compliance with global standards, the court provided an optimal surface for competitive matches and player performance.
Through this exclusive five-year partnership, Michezo becomes the "Official Sports Infrastructure Development Partner" for AIPA, to design and build pickleball courts for all AIPA-led initiatives across India. The agreement also outlines a structured commercial framework to implement the tremendous joint vision of AIPA and Michezo.
Speaking about the partnership, Maharishi Sridhar, Managing Director & Founder of Michezo, said: "We are thrilled to partner with AIPA in building the foundation for one of the fastest-growing sports in India. Our goal is not just to construct courts, but to create spaces where talent thrives and communities engage in healthy, active lifestyles."
Shri Arvind Prabhoo, President of the All India Pickleball Association, also expressed his enthusiasm: "This collaboration is a boost in our journey to make pickleball a household sport in India. With Michezo’s proven expertise in infrastructure and our commitment to the sport’s growth, we are confident of setting new benchmarks in accessibility and player development across the country."
The collaboration will serve as a cornerstone in the mission to bring pickleball to the heart of Indian sport.
